Sweet Adelines to Perform at NA Church of Christ
Peach State Chorus of Sweet Adelines International invites singers of the Georgia-Carolina area to a special guest night at 7:30 on Thursday, May 8 at the North Augusta Church of Christ a t 600 Martintown Road.
Without revealing their ages Lindsey Lott and Mildred Blain meet the age requirement for becoming members with an age span of more than 65 years.
They demonstrate the fact that music is the universal language that draws these singers together. Meeting the 18-year-old requirement by Sweet Adelines International is Lindsey Lott, a 2002 graduate of Lakeside High School in Evans, GA. There she was chorus student of Stacy Branch, who directs the Peach State Chorus as well. Lindsey now attends Augusta State University.
Mildred Blain is their senior member in age as well as in membership. She and Joy Moyer are the only charter members of the chorus, which was chartered in Augusta in 1976.
Mildred serves as chorus manager to be contacted to schedule performances for entertainment throughout the CSRA.

The chorus now has membership of 41 singers from both sides of the Savannah River and is still “on the grow”.
